IF I EAT YOU, WILL BE BOTH STILL BE OK? (PLANT)
Cornwall & South East London, UK, 2024 · Digital video · 8 min 03 sec
Beginning with a trodden-on puffball, this ground-level journey through a Cornish field follows smuggled seeds, working-class autobiography, colonial botanies and more-than-human entanglement. Shot while crawling on my belly, bugs, pollen and buttercups enter the camera itself, subverting the lens and collapsing the distance between filmmaker and field.
